The Wellbeing Accelerator is led by Mark Solomons and Sharon Ferguson-Cuffe. Meeting at Sainsbury's bank in 2003 they realised they shared the same values and beliefs about leadership and working through people to deliver the tough financial results that were expected from them.
They have teamed up on a number of projects in their post banking careers, both in business and in the education sector and their shared passion for building the right culture led to the natural step of creating this company together. Understanding how employee wellbeing and high performance is built through the behaviours of senior leaders and line managers they put together a small specialist team and created their new well-BEE-ing approach. Using measurement, tools and programmes that educate, transform and embed the right behaviours to deliver the best employee experience.
Author of ‘Building Resilience: 7 Steps to Creating Highly Successful Lives’, and former retail director and operating board member of Sainsbury’s Bank. During his corporate career he learnt the importance of helping individuals to self-lead and that wellbeing was such a key factor in developing a high performance culture. He has worked with Olympians and successful business leaders, runs programmes to develop senior and women leaders, provides executive coaching, having trained with some of the well known early pioneers, and co-founded a national charity, which has seen over 200,000 school students undertake programmes to develop the mindset and skills needed for a more fulfilled and successful life.
An experienced HR and Learning and Development professional, working with companies such as Sainsbury’s, Sainsbury's Bank and Thomas International, holding roles at both grass roots and senior management level. She has deep expertise in psychometrics, covering; behaviour, emotional intelligence, aptitude and ability, 360 assessment and employee engagement tools. These have given her a real understanding of how to get the best out of others and the role people need to play in leading the wellbeing of others, as well as managing their own. She is also a qualified ILM coach.
